My services: “Teaching you to teach your dog”

Behaviour consultation (2-3 hour visit)

I visit you and your dog at home to assess the problem/s and advise on solutions. I help you to understand how your dog sees things, explain how to tackle the problem/s, demonstrate training methods and give you the chance to practise under my guidance.  I write up a very detailed training plan tailored to you and your dog so you can review the ideas whenever you wish. I keep in touch via phone or email and you can contact me any time.

Training visit (1 - 1.5 hour visit)

This too involves a home visit and is suitable for uncomplicated training issues such as pulling on lead or jumping up. Although this is a very practical session - which is supplemented with relevant handouts - my aim is to communicate the overarching principles of canine learning so that you can apply this understanding to any other problems that may develop.

Short practical training sessions (50 minutes)

Some people prefer to have shorter sessions, so I offer one-to-one practical training sessions at an hourly rate. This fits well with the way dogs learn and is similar to attending a training class - only without the other dogs!

Puppy pack (1.5 hour visit)

All puppy problems are covered - prevention and treatment.
